Bach
Flowers
“Health
depends on being in
harmony with our souls.” Dr. Edward Bach.
Dr Edward
Bach, M.B., B.S.,
M.R.C.S., L.R.C.P., D.P.H. was a Physician and Homoeopath, who spent
his life
searching for the purest methods of healing.
When he
died in 1936 he had
developed a complete system of 38 flower remedies, each prepared from
the
flowers of wild plants, trees or bushes. They work by treating the
individual
rather than the disease or its symptoms.
The
purpose of the remedies
is to support the patient’s fight
against illness by addressing the emotional factors like:
as a preventative:
Carmel Has
used Bach Flowers
from the new born to the elderly.
It is
advisable to note
that they should not be used with recovering alcoholics as they are
preserved
in brandy. From personal experience it is advisable to use Rescue
Remedy
sparingly while taking warfarin.
Rescue
Remedy is very
versatile to use and the Rescue Remedy Cream is wonderful and a perfect
base
for aromatherapy oils when necessary.
The 38
Bach Flowers are
very subtle in their use, clearing negative emotional energy with
positive
energy. They can be mixed in all sorts
of blends to suit the need of the client. Once initially facilitated by
the
Bach practitioner and the main issue is dealt with, ideally the client
learns
the remedies most suited to her/his emotional state. He/she can then
deal with
most issues and only really needs to come to the practitioner for fine
tuning.
